The choreography is set to the music from the final scene of the ballet by Stevan Hristich "The Legend of Ohrid". The libretto is based on the fairy tale (legend), which originates from Ohrid Lake. Wide musical and dramatic context of the ballet Hristich remarkably shapes using ballet divertissement in which use music and folklore material of the Balkans various population: Macedonians, Serbs, Romanians, Bulgarians, Greeks, Albanians and Turks.

The final scene of the ballet takes place in a small village nearby The Ohrid Lake representing the happy end (marriage) of dramatic love story between Marko and Biljana (the main character roles in ballet).
