Macedonian Oro
Geographical origin: Macedonia
Music: Alfred Pordes
Choreographer: Branko Markovich
A traditional two-part wheel-dance, consisting of "female" and "male" dance.
It begins with a slow part named "teshkoto" (meaning "heavy", "slow"), reflecting the laboriousness of life, after which follows the quick, temperamental part, a vigorously rhytmical male dance. This dance reflects life, celebrations and temperament of Macedonian people.
